The Community Prevention Program positively impacts the health outcomes of the community, rather than focusing on individual health outcomes. The Prevention Program conducts activities designed to prevent the use, misuse, or abuse of tobacco, alcohol, and controlled substances, and activities designed to prevent suicide. This is achieved largely through community partnerships, collaboration, and engagement to identify and address the environmental factors that contribute to substance abuse and suicide problems in Albany County. For more information check out our community coalition.
The Wyoming Medication Donation Program reduces medication waste and improves medication access for low-income Wyoming residents who lack adequate prescription drug insurance coverage.
Albany County Public Health is an approved Donation Site in Laramie!
